Muktinath & Pulhashram

This is the heart of the yatra. We reach Muktinath itself, at over three thousand seven hundred metres: the temple, the 108 sacred waterspouts, the eternal flame that burns on water, and the kshetra where Vishnu is honoured as self-manifest.

Nearby lies Pulhashram, ground of deep significance in the tradition, where the yatra's reading reaches its culmination at the very place it describes. The morning is unhurried, paced for altitude and for reflection, so that the darshan can be received rather than rushed through.

Whatever intention each pilgrim set in Kathmandu returns here, at the source. It is the day the journey was always moving toward.
